After breakfast at the hotel, go for a sightseeing tour of the city visiting Lal Bagh - One of the many gardens in the city; it derives its name from the profusion of red roses which are in bloom here. Cubbon Park - a garden laid down by Lord Cubbon in 1864. The ambience of the city life is broken with the presence of such a large park in the centre of the city. The Bull Temple - The 4.57 m high and 6.10 meters long image is carved out of single granite rock. Bangalore Palace - Built in the Tudor style and inspired by the Windsor palace, Vidhan Soudha - the Vidhan Soudha houses the state legislative assembly of state government. Tipu’s Palace - The summer palace of Tipu Sultan later followed by a visit to Sri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple - The temple is a natural monolith carved cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Badami nestles amongst hills that enclose the healing waters of Bhuthanatha Lake. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and take an afternoon city tour around Badami. You can visit the gigantic carvings on the walls of the four cave temples of four-armed Vishnu, Shiva - shown in many forms as Nataraja, Ardhanareshwar, Bhuthanatha and as the lingam, Krishna, and Jain deities of Mahavir, Jain saint Parsanatha and also some beautiful though faded fresco. (Distance:- Badami to Aihole en-route Pattadakal 40 km./ 1 hour) After breakfast at the hotel, get ready for an excursion to Aihole - The first capital of Chalukyas and the city of Aryans. You visit the Temple Lad Khan, which dates back to AD 450 and is probably Aihole's oldest building. Also, visit the Temple of Durga, Hulchimalli temple dedicated to Hindu Gods Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma, Buddhist temple and one of the finest temples, the Ravana Phadi that is carved out of sandstone. Later, visit Pattadakal – the famous UNESCO World Heritage sites. Chalukyas have left a scattering of fine temples, all built with local pink sandstone - the eighth-century Virupaksha Temple, Mallikarjuna and Papanatha Temples decorated with detailed scenes from the epics and the ninth century Jain Temples. I am very pleased with my tour! Everything was perfect! I am very glad with the high quality of the hotels, the guides, the drivers, the representatives, the tours, the transportation. I didn't have a single problem nor disappointment during the 15 days. It was pure magic. Therefore I congratulate you for the quality of your service and you can be sure that I will recommend you 100%. As stated, everything was perfect and all the people involved were knowledgeable, but I want to recommend three of them (although all were excellent). - Vivak was the most helpful and nice guide. He helped me through the chaos at the train station en Jhansi, waited for the delayed train to come, helped me to find my seat and was always interested in my well being. Very nice guy all the way. - My driver for several days during the second part of the tour was incredible skillful, prudent, patient and nice. You couldn't get a better driver and companion. - My tour guide in Udaipur. He was the better listener. I told him what I needed and wanted, and he tailored the tour to fulfill my needs and interests, instead of overwhelming me with information. He should be an example for other guides.
