Morning visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa, You will be taken on a sightseeing tour Kathmandu Durbar Square in the heart of the city. Many of Kathmandu's most historic and important temples are located here. Interesting things for visitors to see are Taleju temple, gigantic figure of Kalbhairav (the god of destruction), Basantapur Durbar, and Temple of Kumari (living goddess) Visiting Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple) The world's most glorious Buddhist Chaityas built 2000 years ago situated on a hillock about 77 m above the level of the Kathmandu valley. Visitors will also have a grand view of the valley from this spot. Not only is Pashupatinath the most important Hindu temple in Nepal, its one of the most important Shiva temples on the subcontinent and draws numerous devotees from all over India each year. Pashupati is considered to have a special concern for the kingdom of Nepal. Pashupatinath, an ancient plinth, by the banks of the holy Bagmati River, stands the 16th century of Pashupatinath - Shiva, as Lord of all Creatures. The old buildings on the site were destroyed by Moslem invaders in the 14th century, its stone linga smashed to dust, but it rose again behind their retreating backs. Succeeding monarchs reinstated the temple and the images. The flowing Bagmati is a holy river and the ghats (crematorium) at its bank are the earnest Hindus truest cremation center. Read more
Drive 200km to Pokhara and it takes about 6-7 hours from Kathmandu by tourist bus. It is an exciting and romantic drive that we can enjoy beautiful scenic view of terraced rice field, eye catching landscape, Trisuli and Marsyangdi Rivers and spectacular panoramic view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and most of Annapurna Himalayan Range are seen. Mountain flight is a much easier way to see the Nepali Himalayan peaks.The flight takes you within camera range of some of the highest peaks in the world, and cruising this close to the awe-inspiring massifs of rock and ice is an out-of-this world experience. The first peak that appears on your horizon is the majestic Gosaithan, also called Shisha Pangma, standing at a height of 8,013m. To its right appears Dorje Lhakpa (6,966m), looking like a massive figure of eight lying prone and covered in snow. To its right is Phurbi Chyachu, which looms over the Kathmandu valley. Patan, the "City of Fine Arts" is extremely famous for exceptional ancient craftwork. Patan is probably one of the oldest Buddhist cities in the world. Patan Durbar Square is a spectacular sight of Asia indeed with full of Hindu temples, Palace and Buddhist shrines. Patan Museum, Krishna temple, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Golden window, Golden temple, Mahabouddha temple, water spouts etc. are major attractions of this UNESCO world heritage site. Tout d'abord un grand merci à Rajendra. Malgré nos changements de date répétés, Rajendra a pu organiser de la meilleure façon possible notre trek et répondre à nos demandes. Ce trek s'est magnifiquement déroulé dans la très belle région qu'est le Mustang. Nous y avons fait de belles rencontres, certainement grâce à notre tout jeune guide Ngawa de 23 ans qui parle bien le français. Celui-ci nous a fait découvrir de très jolis endroits notamment une petite grotte en montant vers Lori Gompa qui bientôt ne sera plus accessible. Nous avons apprécié également notre tout jeune porteur "Guelbu", discret et très attentionné. Merci à Ngawa et à Guelbu pour le très bon déroulement du trek et merci encore à Rajendra pour l'organisation, pour notre accueil à l'arrivée à l'aéroport et son accompagnement à notre départ. Friends Adventure Team organised trekking to the Everest Base Camp for our group (8 people). Their packages includes everything (all transfers, hotel in Kathmandu, local flight, trekking permissions, meal in Kathmanu and on the track) and that's extremely handy, you don't need to worry about anything during your travel. The guides were very nice guys, who helped us on the route. On the way to Lukhla, the weather conditions wasn't good and the planes wasn't able to fly. And the company organised a helicopter transfer with pretty reasonable additional pay. Nepal is not the most organised country, but all depending on the Friends Adventure Team was done really well.
