Welcome to Cambodia! Upon arrival to Siem Reap, our guide and driver will be waiting to provide transport to the hotel for check in. Check-in time normally is at 14:00. Your first day will be free at your own leisure or relax in the hotel enjoying the clear swimming pool.
You will get an early start to watch the sun rise over the Angkor Temple to reveal the natural beauty of this area. Roam around and gaze across at the amazing scenery and unrivaled architecture. Stroll through the temple's complex chambers and learn the site's fascinating history. After enjoying this amazing spot, transfer you back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel to Roluos is a Cambodian modern small town and an archeological site about 13 km east of Siem Reap. Once it was the seat of Hariharalaya, the first capital of Khmer Empire north of Tonlé Sap. Among the "Roluos Group" of temples there are some of the earliest permanent structures built by Khmer. This morning, we'll take you through the countryside past Siem Reap to the small village of Banteay Samre, build around halfway through the 12th century during the reign of King Suryavarman II. One of the smaller Angkor temples, the Banteay Samre takes its name from the Samre people that inhabited the area. Then, you go on your visit with the pink sandstone structure Banteay Srei “the citadel of women” located in a remote area. The temple was rediscovered in 1914 and cleared some 10 years later. It was reconstructed using the method of anastylosis by French conservator Henri Marchal during the 1930’s. Today the Banteay Srei is a very well preserved monument. Its exquisite ornamentations that cover most of the temple show great skill and precision. Read more
After breakfast at the hotel. You will leave Siem Reap around 8:30am and travel to through small beautiful rural villages and rice fields towards the great Tonle Sap lake. Depending on the time of year and the current water levels you will go as far as you can by road before reaching the point where your boat will be waiting for you. You will then travel the rest of the way by boat down the Kompong Phluk river and into the main village. After you had a delicious lunch, you will amuse with Angkor Wat, the best preserved of all the Angkor monuments built by King Suryavarman II. The temple is an object of pride for Cambodia, its depiction appears on the national flag. Read more
You will head off to the Kulen mountain is situated at north east of Angkor Complex about 50 Km, it takes approximately 2 hours drive up to the hill top with 487 meters height and plateau stretches 30 km long, it is opened for tourists in 1999. Along the way you will see beautiful scenery including rice paddies and rural Cambodian villages where you can observe the locals in their daily lives. On arrival at Kulen Mountain you will begin to climb up the path through jungle. Your guide will stop along the way to point out the many points of interest, including the ancient ruins of temples including the famous Linga river carvings, or a Pagoda on the mountain, before getting to chill in the waterfall and swim in the pools, while contemplating the crucial moment in history that this place is connected to. It is the last day of your tour. You will be free at your leisure till the time to leave for the airport depending on your departure flight. You will then be transferred to the Siem Reap International Airport for 2 hours before the plane takes off. Wishing you have a safe trip home.
