In the first day of Highlights of Tokyo, staff shall pick you up at either Narita or Haneda Airport arrival area and transfer you to your accommodation by door-to-door shuttle. Upon arrival at your hotel, check-in and enjoy your free time for your first day.
English-speaking guide shall pick you up at your accommodation and will take you to some of Tokyo's top sights and neighborhoods by public transportation. First visit Imperial Palace Area. You will be able to see the famous Nijubashi bridge, and afterwards visit Imperial Palace East Gardens (closed on Mondays and Fridays). Stroll around Marunouchi Area. Next, we head to Shinjuku, one of Tokyo's busiest districts. Climb up to the 45th floor of Tokyo Metropolitan Tower to see aerial views of the city. Then, proceed to Shibuya, a popular place for Tokyo's youth. See the famous Hachiko Statue and experience the "scramble", crossing Shibuya's crowded pedestrian. Lastly, visit Harajuku, Tokyo's center of fashion and youth culture. Visit the shops at Takeshita Dori and Omotesando. Stroll around Meiji Shrine or stop-by at Yoyogi Park where you can see street performances on weekends. We shall provide you with a one-day subway pass to get around and visit different places in Tokyo. After the tour, you may still use the subway pass for self-guided sightseeing or shopping around. Explore the market and check out today’s fresh catch. Afterwards, free time shall be given for you to take lunch in the area (guests must buy and pay for their own lunch). After lunch, stroll around Hama Rikyu, one of Tokyo's best landscape gardens. From Hama Rikyu, you shall be taking a river waterbus along the Sumida River to reach Asakusa. Upon reaching Asakusa, visit Sensoji Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo, see Kaminarimon Gate and shop for souvenirs at Nakamise shopping street. Return to your hotel by subway. Read more
Guide shall pick you up at your hotel and together, you shall be taking the Romance Car (Limited Express train) from Shinjuku to Hakone. At Hakone, take the Hakone Ropeway to enjoy Hakone's scenic views. Stop-by at Owakudani, a volcanic area where you can try boiled eggs, cooked using volcanic waters. This is also one of the best areas to catch a perfect view of Mount Fuji on a clear day. Continuing the tour, you shall proceed to Lake Ashi and board a pirate cruise ship that will take you across the lake. Have a leisurely time exploring the sights around the area.
