This journey is incredibly scenic as you drive through tea plantations and the lush green countryside which characterizes so much of Uganda. Have breakfast, then you meet up with the forest ranger who will take you chimpanzee tracking in the morning. While on the trek you might also see other monkey species that live in this tropical forest. Once located, you will spend a full hour with the chimps. After lunch, you will go for a nature walk around the swamp. This walk last about 2-3 hours taking you through grasslands, small communities and some beautiful scenery, where the locals are likely to greet you with enthusiastic waves. Usually it is very common to spot three to four different primate species during this walk, and if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of the great blue turaco. This morning after breakfast, you will be on your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of Rwenzori Mountain ranges, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has wildlife, such as: Gazelle, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs and Buffaloes and more. Lions are often sighted both in the park and at the entrance to the park. Today you wake up early, a little before sunrise have your breakfast before we head out for a morning game drive in time to see the animals as they come out from their hideouts . You will search for the wildlife in the park and are likely to see Elephants, Buffalos, Lions, Waterbuck, Leopards, and many Warthogs. In the afternoon after lunch you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel that joins Lake George and Lake Edward. Here, you will see a lot of hippos, as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. Today is the big day you have been prepared for to encounter with one of Bwindi’s gentle giants, the rare mountain gorillas. Early breakfast this morning before meeting with your ranger guide for briefing. The tracking commences in morning from the park headquarters at about 8:30 am. The gorillas tracked belong to one of the 'habituated' family groups in Bwindi. Time taken to track the gorillas lasts about 2-7 hours and this track will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorilla family assigned to you.
