ARRIVAL HANOI

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport. Meet our guide, quick visa formalities, transfer into town to your hotel (rooms are usually available from midday). The afternoon will be reserved for visiting Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, including the fascinating Old Quarter, the neighborhood of 36 streets and traditional craft guilds where peddlers trade as they have for centuries, the Hang Be open-air market and the Temple of Literature, the oldest university in Vietnam. Our tour will continue with a visit to former President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house and the garden where he liked to relax. Then we will visit the One Pillar Pagoda, built originally during the Ly Dynasty (11th century), which founded the city of Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. Read more

HANOI – HALONG BAY

Morning departure for Halong Bay. After arriving at Ha Long city you will board a traditional-looking junk. You will enjoy a comfortable cabin (shower, air conditioning) and panoramic views of the bay from the decks. The meals served on board will be the finest of this tour. We will cruise through this extraordinary natural wonder, stopping to visit a magical cave, either Surprise Cave or the Heavenly Palace. There will be time to swim in the emerald waters of the bay, surrounded by dramatic and unforgettable limestone karsts and isles. HALONG – HANOI

Begin the day with a light breakfast and continue the cruise with a visit to Luon Cave. Return to the boat for a hearty brunch that will be served between 9:30 and 11:00. Return to Halong City late in the morning and then back to Hanoi. Along the way we will stop at a craft shop, operated by disabled people, in Sao Do. Arrive in Hanoi late in the afternoon. The evening will feature a fascinating performance of Hanoi’s renowned water puppets, a traditional art form dating to the 11th century. Overnight in Hanoi. Read more

HANOI – HUE

The morning will be dedicated to visiting the sights of Hanoi, including the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, his old wooden stilt house, the One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple and the Temple of Literature, over 900 years old and the first university in the country. After lunch we will visit the Museum of Ethnology. Late in the afternoon we will transfer to the airport for our flight to Hue. Traditionally, Hue has been one of Vietnam’s cultural, religious and educational centres. Hue served as the political capital from 1802 to 1945 under the 13 emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. After breakfast we will take a boat trip on the Perfume River, stopping at Thien Mu Pagoda, which is built on a hill overlooking the river, and the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. After lunch the afternoon will be devoted to visiting the Imperial Enclosure, the tomb of Tu Duc and Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue. Read more

HUE – HOI AN

Depart for Hoi An, going over spectacular Hai Van Pass, considered to be one of the most scenic in all of Vietnam. Stop in Danang to visit Cham Museum. A late breakfast will be served at the hotel in Hoi An. In 1999, the old town was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as a well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port of the 15th to 19th centuries, with buildings that display a unique blend of local and foreign influences. In the afternoon there will be a tour of Hoi An, including the Hoi An market, the Tan Ky House, the Chinese temple Phuc Kien, the Japanese covered bridge, a workshop producing silk and some free time for shopping. Late in the afternoon, return to the hotel by boat on the Thu Bon River. Overnight in Hoi An. Read more

HOI AN – DANANG – SAIGON

After breakfast, the morning will be free for strolling around town or going to the beach. Later we will transfer to Danang airport for our flight to Saigon, the city’s famous and historic landmarks. After checking in at your hotel there will be free time before dinner. Overnight in Saigon.

SAIGON – CU CHI – SAIGON

After breakfast, the morning will be devoted to visiting the famous Cu Chi tunnels, excavated during the war against the United States. Back to Saigon for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the central area and its buildings of French colonial architecture, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the central post office. Overnight in Saigon. Read more

SAIGON – CAN THO

After breakfast, we will continue our tour of the city, including Chinatown, Binh Tay Market and Thien Hau Pagoda. Depart for the Mekong Delta and Vietnam’s “rice bowl”, stopping in My Tho for lunch. Arrive in Can Tho in the late afternoon. Overnight in Can Tho.

CAN THO – CHAU DOC

Boat ride on the Hau Giang, a lower branch of the Mekong River, visiting Cai Rang, the largest and most well-known one in the Mekong Delta. Transfer to Chau Doc, where we will have breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards there will be a boat trip on the Mekong, visiting farms and meeting the inhabitants of the Muslim village of Ham. Boat ride to Phnom Penh on the Mekong River, arriving at about noon. After booking our rooms, we will have lunch. Breakfast at the hotel. Visit BanteaySrei temple, a tiny temple complex consider by many visitors to be the highest achievement in art and architecture of the Classic Angkor civilization. The glory of BanteaySrei is the beauty of its sculpture and decoration. The pink sandstone used in its buildings makes this temple more beautiful. On the way back, visit BanteaySamrer temple. Afternoon, visit Pre Rup temple, a classic example of temple-mountain, and the last without continuous galleries; Eastern Mebon, Ta som, NeakPean, a unique ancient hospital built in the reign of king Jayavarman VI (1181-1220) which has been seen as a representation of Anavatapta, a miraculous lake in Himalayas that cures all illnesses; and Preah Khan, a large temple built on the site of battle that ended in Ankor’s downfall at the land of the Cham. Preah Khan was also really a kind of university, housing a number of masters and students.Then visit an amazing view of Ta prohmTemple which has been deliberately left as it was discovered.
