When you arrive at the airport in Colombo you will be met by our and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and unwind.
The four hour trip from Colombo to Sinharaja falls by the golden beaches, though the sleepy villages and green blankets of paddy fields and rubber estates. An ideal beginning to an adventurous journey in Sri Lanka. Once in Sinharaja first check-in to your hotel for rest and spend the day at your leisure at the hotel. Read more
After breakfast you will go on a morning and evening hiking session at Sinharaja Forest Reserve. Sinharaja, Sri Lanka’s last viable primary tropical rainforest with a vast collection of endemic vegetation, wildlife, especially birds and amphibians. Sinharaja is renowned for the Sinharaja bird wave where birds of different species fly in unison. You will enjoy both a morning and evening bird watching sessions in the company towering trees of Sinharaja. This is also the countries largest rain forest which is also a UNESCO world heritage site. After breakfast you will proceed to Galle Fort which is one of the best preserved Forts in South Asia which was built by the Portuguese. Spanning nearly 90 acres the Fort consist colonial styled churches, houses and hotels preserved in reminiscence of an era when the country was in the power of Dutch. You can also visit the maritime museum which houses many interesting artifacts from the colonial period. After an exciting day, head back to your hotel in Galle for rest and overnight stay. Read more
Mirissa itself is a quiet and peaceful coastal town boasting unspoiled beaches. Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, bottle nose dolphins, common dolphins and spinner dolphins grace the waters of Southern Seas of Sri Lanka from Weligama to Mirrissa and can be found within just eight to ten nautical miles from Mirissa harbor. After breakfast you will proceed on a whale watching excursion. Afterwards head back to your hotel for rest. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure enjoying the beach and water sports. Read more
After breakfast you will proceed to Yala National Park. As the dusk spreads around the trees of Yala, set on an evening Safari in Yala in pursuit of the elusive leopards and elephants.
Spend the morning on a safari and see Yala in its full glory basking in the morning sunlight. Afterwards head to Udawala, another sanctuary famed for elephants. Spend the night at a luxury camp in the midst of Udawalawa sanctuary.
After breakfast you will tour the Udawala wildlife Sanctuary in search of wild elephants and drop by at the Ath Athru Sevana, elephant transit home, where orphaned elephant babies are rehabilitated for a life in the jungle.
After breakfast proceed to Colombo. As you arrive in Colombo, head out for a city tour covering all the major attractions like the 100 year old clock tower, various colonial buildings, the lively Pettah bazaar, the old Parliament, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. Afterwards go shopping and treat yourself to some exotic local items before heading to the airport. Read more
