Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be welcomed by GeTS Holidays representative who will help you with your transfer to Bhuj. Reach Bhuj and then get transferred to your tented accommodation. Relax and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at tented accommodation.
Start your morning with a great breakfast. Then, set-out and explore the beauty of Kutch during the Rann Utsav. The Rann Utsav is the time when the white desert recedes and turns into nature’s masterpiece. The three-month-long festival celebrates the uniqueness of the world’s largest salt desert that transforms into a surreal landscape under the moonlight. From folk dance performances to scrumptious Gujarati cuisine, camel safaris to folk dramas, the Rann Utsav is a one-of-its-kind extravaganza. Also kept on display is the magnificent Kutch art and craft like Rogan art, rabari embroidery, and the mirror work fabrics. Moreover, for adventure lovers, there are activities like Para Motoring, hot air balloon ride, ATV ride, and Rifle Shooting. You can even enjoy a short trip to the Indo-Pak Border. Today, after breakfast check out from your camp for Sasan Gir, home to the Asiatic Lion. Upon arrival in Sasan Gir get transferred to the hotel. Check-into the hotel and relax. Spend the rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Have breakfast and then after some time gets ready for Sasan Gir sightseeing tour and visit the Gir Forest National Park, the only place in the subcontinent where the Asiatic Lions can be found. Located on the south-western border of Saurashtra peninsula in Gujarat, the sanctuary is home to around 400 Asiatic Lions. You can also enjoy lion safari. The park also shelters other species like chital, Chinkara (Gazelle) four-horned antelope, leopard, Nilgai, spotted deer, wild boar, wild ass, monkeys, parrots and peacocks, many others birds etc. Overnight at the hotel. After breakfast, drive to Ahmedabad. Arrive Ahmedabad and in time transfer to railway station / airport for your journey to your next destination.
I am very pleased with my tour! Everything was perfect! I am very glad with the high quality of the hotels, the guides, the drivers, the representatives, the tours, the transportation. I didn't have a single problem nor disappointment during the 15 days. It was pure magic. As stated, everything was perfect and all the people involved were knowledgeable, but I want to recommend three of them (although all were excellent). - Vivak was the most helpful and nice guide. He helped me through the chaos at the train station en Jhansi, waited for the delayed train to come, helped me to find my seat and was always interested in my well being. Very nice guy all the way. - My driver for several days during the second part of the tour was incredible skillful, prudent, patient and nice. You couldn't get a better driver and companion. - My tour guide in Udaipur. He was the better listener. I told him what I needed and wanted, and he tailored the tour to fulfill my needs and interests, instead of overwhelming me with information. He should be an example for other guides.
