We transfer into Lake Manyara for morning game drive and lunch, a classic safari picnic, and enjoy our final glimpse of the great wilds of the Northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara offers an insight into the Great Rift Valley system and the adaptation of many herd animals and magnificent birdlife. We continue Maasai Village to explore the area and our school project. In the late afternoon, we zig zag our way up the Rift Valley Escarpment and onto the crater highlands for overnight. Short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is collapsed volcano - an incredible natural amphitheatre, 25 km across and teeming with all of the African big game. Early morning descent into the crater for spectacular scenery and game viewing in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. We depart after breakfast to the endless plains of the Serengeti. Upon entering the Serengeti, we are able to game drive all the way to our special camp area. The camp is mobile, following the migration patterns and therefore locations vary throughout the year from northern Serengeti to far southern plains at Ndutu. We enjoy further exploration of the endless plains. The habitats are natural and we can game drive with a picnic lunch to explore further afield. There are resident cats and herd animals for us to observe.
We transfer out of the Serengeti, passing through Oldupai Gorge. We enjoy lunch and a view of the archaeological sites (and visit the museum) where early human tools and fossils have been found. We set off in the direction of Tarangire National Park and arrive to our camp for sunset. This camp provides us with a classic bush experience that ensures intimacy. A full day game viewing at Tarangire national park, visiting the Silalei Swamp and Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park, which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. The Silale swamp acts as a giant sponge during the green season and slowly releases water during the dry season attracting thousands of animals. In the dry season large numbers of animals congregate along the life-giving river and simply make the Tarangire River and the silale swamp serves as a place of refuge for the largest elephant population in northern Tanzania. After breakfast, we head back to Arusha and pass by a shopping market on the way. After which, we will facilitate your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.

He was able to use his knowledge of birds and animals to locate every animal we wanted to see. He was professional and kind. We will be returning with our children and using Raymond again.
