NEW DELHI SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast you will proceed for full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. The courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshipers. Enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi…noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian. You will then visit the Red Fort (closed every Monday), which was constructed during the rule of Emperor Shah Jahan and served as the residence for the Mughal royal family. It continues to be significant even today, as every Independence Day, the Prime Minister makes a speech from its ramparts as the Indian flag is hoisted. Later, drive past the President House and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s Delhi before you head to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Later in the evening visit the Qutab Minar, which is the tallest brick minaret in the world; it was commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. Overnight in Delhi Read more

NEW DELHI - AGRA

Distance :- Delhi to Agra (230kms. / 5hrs.) After breakfast transfer to Agra.   Upon arrival you will proceed for a full day visit of Agra. History says, Agra was founded by Sultan Sikander Lodi in 1504. But it flourished much later under Mughal patronage. If it's Agra, Taj Mahal (closed every Friday) has to be your halt. The white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal on the banks of Yamuna, is the ultimate epitome of love. Owing to beautiful Mughal architecture, Taj features among the Seven Wonders of The World. You can’t miss out on Agra Fort built of red sandstone, by Akbar. Later visit the Agra Fort, which was commissioned in 1565 by Akbar, and subsequently embellished by other Mughal Emperors. The beautiful yet forbidding structure houses many exquisite palaces, and is a handsome example of Mughal architecture. Later check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight in Agra. Read more

AGRA - RANTHAMBORE

Distance :- Agra to Ranthambore (400kms. / 5 hrs.) Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, check-out from the hotel and drive to Ranthambore. En-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri 37 kms west of Agra lies the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri- an epic poem in red sandstone, built by Emperor Akbar the Great in 1569 and deserted 14 years later because its water supply failed. Its glorious courtyards and palaces conjure up dreams of the mysterious past. Buland Darwaza, the victory gate looms 134 feet high. There’s the imperial Jama Masjid, the tomb of Shaik Salim Chisti who predicted the birth of Akbar’s son Jahangir, the Panch Mahal - an extraordinary four-storied columnar structure which resembles a Buddhist Temple, a cloistered courtyard which was the Hall of Public Audience, and the Pachchisi paved with black and white. After the visit, continue your drive to Ranthambore. Ranthambore National Park Approach - Ranthambore, covering 410 sq. km. running from the easternmost spur of the Aravallis to the Vindhya range. It has both the old fort and the wildlife sanctuary also known as Sawai Madhopur. Famous for its tigers, the park is one of the best places to spot the majestic predators in their natural habitat. The National Park is 10 km east of Sawai Madhopur town with the approach along a narrow valley. The path to the fort zigzags up the steep outcrop in a series of ramps and through two impressive gateways. The fort wall runs round the summit and has a number of semi-circular bastions. This, combined with the natural escarpment produces sheer drops of over 65 m in places and stunning views. There are two tanks, a palace and pavilion and a few temples inside the walls. All are in various states of disrepair but there are good views out over the surrounding countryside to warrant the effort of reaching the fort, and it is a wonderfully peaceful place. Overnight sin Ranthambore. Read more

Visit Jaisalmer Fort, which is the only living fort of India and houses the entire township within its ramparts. There are three beautifully sculpted Jain temples from the 12th-15th century A.D., and five interconnected palaces which you can explore during your visit. At the center of the fort is Raj-Mahal, now known as Jaisalmer Fort Palace Museum & Heritage Centre. Visit Salim Singh ki Haveli and Patwon-ki-Haveli, which is the largest and most elaborate mansion of its kind in Jaisalmer, followed by a visit to Nathmal Ji ki Haveli. Later, visit Gadsisar Lake, surrounded by numerous beautiful shrines. Rare migratory birds stop for a drink at the lustrous lake. In the evening, visit the Vyas Chhatri; this is the cenotaph of the sage Vyas, the author of the Mahabharat. The Vyas Chhatri is also known as sunset point as it allows fantastic views of Jaisalmer, particularly at dusk. I am very pleased with my tour! Everything was perfect! I am very glad with the high quality of the hotels, the guides, the drivers, the representatives, the tours, the transportation. I didn't have a single problem nor disappointment during the 15 days. It was pure magic. Therefore I congratulate you for the quality of your service and you can be sure that I will recommend you 100%. As stated, everything was perfect and all the people involved were knowledgeable, but I want to recommend three of them (although all were excellent). - Vivak was the most helpful and nice guide. He helped me through the chaos at the train station en Jhansi, waited for the delayed train to come, helped me to find my seat and was always interested in my well being. Very nice guy all the way. - My driver for several days during the second part of the tour was incredible skillful, prudent, patient and nice. You couldn't get a better driver and companion. - My tour guide in Udaipur. He was the better listener. I told him what I needed and wanted, and he tailored the tour to fulfill my needs and interests, instead of overwhelming me with information. He should be an example for other guides. In brief, I loved the tour! And I am VERY PLEASED WITH YOUR SERVICE. Cheers! Read more
