Oloron-Ste-Marie - 1 night

Distance 16.6km - Height gain +1290m - Descent -790m - Expected time on your feet 7h00 After breakfast, you'll be taken by minibus to the start point of your hike at the beautiful village of Lescun. On your first day of hiking you'll pass through the beautiful Cirque de Lescun, up and over the Puerto de Ansó pass into Spain. Impressive limestone escarpments and breathtaking views are the order of the day! You'll spend the night at the Linza hostel which is at an altitude of 1300m. You'll have a comfortable bed in a dormitory with your fellow hikers and share shower and toilet facilities. The restaurant serves freshly prepared dishes created with local produce. Distance 15.3km - Height gain +800m - Descent -1050m - Expected time on your feet 6h00 The high point on today's hike is the Paso Anzotiello at 1964m, a notch in a seemingly insurmountable barrier of mountains! Great views guaranteed. Your accommodation at the end of today's hike is a well-equipped hostel on a campsite at 1150m alt, in one of the most picturesque locations in the Aragonese Pyrenees. Hostel at Oza (1 night)

Distance 15.3km - Height gain +1300m - Descent -1040m - Time on your feet 7h30 From Oza you skirt the slopes of Castillo de Acher with its incredible limestone cliffs and pass through one of the lesser known but beautiful areas of the Hecho Valley, Secús and Taxeras. Your overnight is a spacious hostel at an altitude of 1400m in the beautiful Hecho valley. The hostel has impressive views towards the summits of Peñaforca and Agüerri. Distance 9.6km - Height gain +693m - Descent -536m - Time on your feet 4h00 This is the shortest day but with the option of bagging Bisaurin (an extra 3h and 700m of climbing), worth the effort for the spectacular views, before the descent to the refuge. Your base for the night is a spacious mountain refuge in a beautiful setting at 1500m alt, at the foot of the Bisaurin peak which you will have had the opportunity to bag today! There is road access to the refuge which has a bar and a restaurant too. Read more

The Lizara refuge (1 night)

Distance 17.4km - Height gain +1070m - Descent -980m - Time on your feet 7h00 Today is one of the most beautiful stages as you pass through the Valle de los Sarrios and past the Estanés Lake where you may see horses grazing and possibly hear marmots too. Your overnight will be a hostel at 1600m alt which is located on the road up to a small ski resort. It provides all the facilities you need for a basic overnight dormitory stay. Read more

The Somport hostel (1 night)

Distance 19km - Height gain +1150m - Descent -780m - Time on your feet 7h00 Back on the French side of the mountains, you'll head to the Cirque d'Aspe and the beautiful Espelunguere valley with an overnight at the fabulous, off grid Arlet mountain refuge. Fancy a swim in the lake?! This small mountain refuge is in an incredible setting at 2000m alt in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park.
