Kang Yatze 2 Trek

Kang Yatze 2 Trek

You will get the chance to ascend two peaks that are more than 6000 metres high on this hike. In Rumbak, you will begin your trip. Your path takes you through the breathtaking Shingo Gorge and into the Markha Valley after crossing the 4900-meter-high Ganda La Pass. You will ascend the valley to the stunning Nimaling plateau. Our two 6000-meter summits, Kang Yatze and Dzo Jongo, are accessible from here.

Arrive in Leh by flight

Early in the morning, you will arrive in Leh by flight. Meet our representative when you will arrive at Leh airport, then he will transfer you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Rest and acclimate yourself. In the evening, you will explore Leh’s local market.

Leh-02nights

Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Hemis

This day is dedicated to touring the area’s local monasteries. Shey Gompa, near Leh, was formerly the summer residence of Ladakh’s rulers. Around Shey Palace, there are several Stupas and Gompas to visit. This palace was erected in the 17th century by Deldan Namgyal. Thiksey Gompa is around 17 kilometers from Shey. The monastery, which belongs to the Gelugpa order, is regarded to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh. Hemis Monastery is located 45 kilometers south of Leh and is one of Ladakh’s most visited and biggest monasteries. Hemis is a Drukpa-order monastery that was founded in the early 17th century. The setting is ideal, with the monastery nestled in a lovely valley surrounded by streams and framed by tall Mani walls. Read more

You will get to the lovely village of Rumbak over the course of the next several hours by following a simple route. Although some of the extremely rare snow leopards live in this region, the likelihood of seeing one during the summer months is exceedingly slim. Skiu – Markha Valley (3800m)

The walk today is long but fairly flat. You'll be walking through the beautiful Markha Valley, past little towns and verdant barley fields. On several hilltops, historic castle remains may be found. This demonstrates the historic route's prior prominence. The origins of these ruins are unknown. These are most likely Darden strongholds, which were the earliest established residents of Ladakh. You will be in the heart of Hemis National Park, and you will have to wade through a creek right before the settlement of Markha before setting up your tent on a lovely campground near the village.
