DAY 1

Upon arrival at Denpasar airport, transfer to your accommodation
1 night in Ubud
DAY 2
Besaki Temple Tour
First we will visit Kerta Gosa the 18th Century Court of Justice at Klungkung know for its beautiful ceiling murals. Then proceed up to Bukit Jambul with its wonderful view of the rice terraces, at the base of Bali’s most revered mountain, Gunung Agung (height 3,142 meters) we will reach Besakih Temple. This is the island’s oldest, largest and most sacred Hindu Temple complex. The “ Mother Temple “ as it is know, serves the entire island’s population. On the way back lunch will be served at Mahagiri Restaurant. Then proceed to Goa Lawah (bat cave temple), the traditional fishing village of KUSAMBA with its colourful traditional sailing-boats called jukung. On the way back to hotel we will visit of traditional Kamasan paintings. Read more

DAY 3
Taman Ayun - Tanah Lot
We will first go Mengwi, to admire one of the loveliest shrines in Bali, belonging to a local royal family, TAMAN AYUN (“Water garden”) temple, surrounded with ponds. Then we will continue up into the cool hills to wander through the tropical flower market at Candi Kuning, and on to Ulun Danu temple on the shore of lake Beratan at Bedugul. Then proceed to Jatiluwih with wonderful views of beautiful rice terraces. On our way home we will stop at ALAS KEDATON temple which shelters a colony of monkeys and last to Tanah Lot, a temple perched on a rocky outcrop in the sea, in time for sunset. Read more

Country side cycling
Explore the largest Salak plantation, rice fields and pass through rice fields and interactions with the local community will give a different impression of adventure on the island. It will take about 3 (three) hours of 15km length of the trek. On route, the local community will present a fresh young coconut on their fields hut. Depend on the seasons, sometimes any possibility to interact with farmers, while plowing or harvesting in the fields Then transfer to Seminyak Area. Read more

Hotel: Generally good hotel – good outdoor area, polite staff, good breakfast selection. Hotel rooms could be updated esp bathrooms. Some problems with cleanliness-dirty bed sheets, overall dampness in the room + no way to ventilate. Bitten several times overnight. Could do with an in-room book explaining hotel, room service hotel facilities etc. Comment: At all times tour was on time+pick ups stress-free. Both very friendly, welcoming warm. Good insight into Indonesian cultures. Good communication with ourselves+good arrangements with other tour guides etc. If more time would have liked to see more of the city center- walling etc. Enjoyed food, art introduction, temple visits- opportunity to see temples on our own also – freedom to explore after being explained to.
