KAMPALA - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK (311 KMS) Early morning you head north to Murchison Falls National park via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to trek the Rhinos. The sanctuary houses Uganda's Rhino reintroduction project. There are 9 white rhinos and tracking is done on foot and takes about 1 and half hours. MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK Early morning head for a game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child's giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the 'Devil's Cauldron where you will see the River Nile said to be the 2nd longest river in the world crush through a narrow gorge and forming the magnificent Murchison falls!! Marvel at the schools of hippos, crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK After breakfast we visit Kibale Forest National Park, where the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa is exceptionally represented. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee known to be a delightful ape. It is also a home of species like the rare I'Hoest's monkey, the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon among others. The walk takes 2-3 hours. KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONALPARK (157) KMS After your morning breakfast, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range. As you go through the game park you might spot some animals like the Elephant, Buffaloes, bushbucks, and Uganda Kob, Antelopes, Warthogs, among others. After lunch enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. It is a 42kms channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George. The lady by the name Christine has always been helpful the times I have interacted with her. In June this year, i went for gorilla tracking under crystal safaris with Jona as our guide. My friends and I had a fab time and I would recommend Jona to u and the lodge we slept in was in Bwindi Gorilla safari lodge was in point with those water bottles to keep us warm the beds were on point and jeez the food was delicious (try there onion soup).
