ITINERARY
DAY 1
Campo Grande – Refúgio Ecológico Araraún
Arrival in Campo Grande (MS). Our staff will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the Pantanal according to your transfer option. Arrival at Lodge Araraúna. Short geographical presentation of the area on the map and general introduction with the Pantaneiro horse breed and the local cowboys – called Peões. If time allows, we’ll go for a short ride to try out the horses, saddles and the local riding style. Pantaneiro horses are smart and allow excellent control; Pantanal’s typical saddles are probably the most comfortable in the world. Dinner. Overnight. Read more

DAY 2
Refúgio Ecológico Araraúna/Pantanal
Early breakfast followed by a 3 hours ride to Fazenda Santa Marta. During the ride you will pass through beautiful landscape all the way and cross the Correntoso River. The whole area is abundant in wild life, and we’ll spot several species of animals during your stay. Rustic lunch at the old farm house. After lunch, resting time in hammocks. DAY 3
Refúgio Ecológico Araraúna/Pantanal
Early breakfast and a 3 and a half hours ride to Fazenda Veneza. During the ride you will cross the Correntoso River again (different access), streams and palm groves. Fazenda Veneza has different scenery and offers opportunities to watch deer, giant anteaters, armadillos and several different kinds of birds amongst others animals. During the ride you will cross cattle sectors as well. Rustic lunch at the old farm house. After lunch, resting time in hammocks. In the afternoon ride back to Araraúna lodge by yet another route.
