La Macarena Natural Reserve represents a unique slice of biogeography, and is a meeting point of the territories of the Amazon and of the Orinoco. One of the best-known attractions is the astonishing river “Caño Cristales”, commonly called "The River of Five Colors," "The Liquid Rainbow" and "The Most Beautiful River in the World" because of the algae that produces vibrant colors and gives this river its unique beauty.

After a nice breakfast we take a boat tour on the river Guayabero on the journey we can see different birds and wildlife. we will visit the Waterfall "PozoCuadrado". Lunch on the river. we will Return by 4x4 to the Guayabero river and go back to the Hotel to have a nice dinner.
Today we trek to a different area of the river, to see another unbelievable sight at the sector Cascada de Pailón. The day will be spent hiking through this part of the reserve and absorbing all the natural beauty. Take the time to imprint these sights in your memory, before returning to Macarena for dinner and another well deserved rest. Read more
