Two hours of Panoramic tour of Modern Havana in Old American Classic Cars through El Vedado and Miramar suburbs with visits to Almendares Metropolitan Park and the Revolution Square. On foot we investigate the Habana Vieja district. Old Havana, which is defined by the extent of the former city walls, has maintained the pattern of the early urban setting with its five large plazas, each with its own architectural character: Plaza de Armas, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de San Francisco, Plaza del Cristo and Plaza de la Catedral, around these plazas are many outstanding buildings. Typical lunch in the famous restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio acclimated by Cuban traditional music. In the afternoon we get active with a salsa dance lesson at Florida Hotel: a chance to learn the basics of Cuba’s most characteristic dance style by enthusiastic Cuban dance teachers. 19:30 At night transfer by soviet Chaika limousines to a private restaurant in Havana: Río Mar; set seafood menu for dinner. Drive to Viñales Valley, encircled by mountains and, its landscape is interspersed with dramatic rocky outcrops. Traditional techniques are still in use for agricultural production, particularly of tobacco. The quality of this cultural landscape is enhanced by the vernacular architecture of its farms and villages, where a rich multi-ethnic society survives, illustrating the cultural development of the islands of the Caribbean, and of Cuba. Visit the Prehistoric Mural, a 120-meter tall replica of prehistoric paintings on a “mogote” which illustrates the evolution in the Sierra los Órganos to the first human inhabitants of the Pinar del Rio region. Horse ride around the Dos Hermanas valley. Lunch at the organic farm El Paraíso, where you can sample delicious Creole cuisine presented in varied Cuban dishes. The farm grows and uses organic vegetables making it a unique place to enjoy some fabulous food in a unique rural setting surrounded by exceptional nature beauty. Visit a typical farm house and tobacco plantation complete with traditional drying barns, where you will learn about the cultivation and drying process of the tobacco leaf while strolling though fields which grow the best tobacco in the world. 08:30 Departure by bus to the Marina Gaviota located on Cayo Las Brujas. Get onboard a large and comfortable catamaran to enjoy a cruise around the surroundings keys and islets. Relax on the nets or the shaded areas as the catamaran glides gently over the waves, and watch seabirds and dolphins that regularly follow the catamaran. Stop at a coral reef for snorkeling in the warm and clear waters inhabited by a complex and colorful marine life. The catamaran then drops anchor at a gorgeous and secluded beach where you can enjoy free time. Next stop the Delfinario (dolphinarium) where a delicious lobster lunch will be served (other meal options are available). Enjoy a interaction session with dolphins, and a dolphins show. This morning we drive to Trinidad, a Unesco World Heritage Site, the cobbled streets and Spanish architecture of Trinidad make it one of Cuba's most impressive and best preserved colonial towns. These plantation owners built sugar mills in the nearby Valle de los Ingenios and the region quickly became responsible for a third of all Cuba’s sugar production, generating huge wealth for the town. Canopy tour into Valle de los Ingenios and sugar cane juice degustation. We will walk through the lovely streets, squares and markets of the old town. Lunch in the historic center, just in a cozy private restaurant designed in colonial style and acclimated by Cuban traditional music. 08:30 Transfer onto an open-sided 4WD soviet truck which takes us deeper into the reserve, then set off on foot through the forests with our naturalist guide. Our trail takes us along a ridge with panoramic views on all sides, then into a valley cut deep by the Guayanara River. Our guide will point out the rich and varied flora and fauna along the way, including the rare Cuban trogon, Cuba's national bird, whose red, white and blue plumage mirrors the national flag. Walk along the river to the Salto de Rocio waterfall, close to the waterfall there are rockpools where we can swim and - for the intrepid - swing out Tarzan-style on a liana overhanging the deepest pool. Lunch included in Casa de la Gallega. 15:00 Drive to Cienfuegos, at your arrival cocktail at the terrace of Palacio de Valle. We will finish the day with a short city tour around the colonial heart of Cienfuegos. This city is often referred to as the 'Pearl of the South', originally founded by the French it boasts the impressive Terry Theatre where they host operas and ballet. We drive through giant citrus and sugar plantations and out onto the Zapata Peninsula. Further on “cenotes” or pools created by the ceiling collapse of the underground rivers dot the landscape and provide wonderful swimming opportunities. We visit Playa Girón and the nearby museum dedicated to the infamous Bay of Pigs invasion, where a US supported attack by Cuban exiles failed to overthrow the Communist regime.
