Departure at 7am in a private vehicle on a day-trip exploring the Sacred Valley. The first stop will be at the ruins of Pisac, one of the main Inca sites, where the different areas (administrative, religious, military) are scattered on the mountainside. Also observable are the large terraces that were used for agriculture but also protected from the effects of erosion. Then we will take a walk around the colorful handicraft market before taking to the road again, this time in the direction of the salt flats of Maras that, since Inca times, have collected salt water from a local source. This is then transformed into salt through the evaporative effect of the sun. We then walk down to the Urumbamba River where the vehicle awaits to take us on to Ollantaytambo, the last Inca architecture village to still be inhabited. Visit of the monumental stone fortress. Transfer and check-in to the hotel at the end of the afternoon. Train to Aguas Calientes, starting point for visiting Machu Picchu. Note: The train company allows passengers to carry a cabin bag of up to 8 kg per person. First, the Hill Crocker. It is a hill with a spectacular sight of the island. Located in the high part, the hill Crocker is the point mas highly of Santa Cruz and this one located in the zone of pampas, from this hill it is possible to observe landscapes of the extinct covered volcanoes of endemic vegetation, the same ones that are the habitat of birds as the bewitching bird, pumphandles, petrel stuck leg and night birds. The site is caracterized for observing bewitching birds, petrels of Tortoises and pumphandles. Also pódran to visit The Puntudo, a hill with a spectacular sight of the island. You will have a private transfer with spanish-speaking driver from hotel to el muelle. You will travel from Santa Cruz to Isabela aboard a public speedboat. At the arrival in Isabela, you will need to take another taxi-boat (maximum $us 1 per person) to disembark on the island. You willl also need to pay the local tax ($us 10) at Isabela harbour. You will have a private transfer with spanish-speaking driver from the harbour to your hotel. You will realize a long walk by the path which leads you to the bay of Concha perla. This path was built by the National park of the Galapagos between mangrove swamps and it will bring you to a small pier where from you can jump in the water or practise diving. Concha de Perla is the ideal place to practise diving. It is a bay with waters little deep, quiet and transparent that allow to observe the fascinating marine wildlife of the Galapagos and you can swim with sea perches and auks, thing which can be experimented in no other tropical zone of the world. Day 13:Saturday, Puerto Villamil- Tintoreras Rock- Isabela- Puerto Villamil The "Tintoreras" are small volcanic rocks islands that are in front of Puerto Villamil. They are so named because the shark population "tintorera" is abundant in the turquoise waters bordering these islands. To reach these islands, from Puerto Villamil, you will take a shared boat, and after 10 minutes of navigation, you will arrive on the "Tintoreras". You can then enjoy the incredible presence of marine life on site to perform various activities: diving, photography, observation with explanations of a naturalist guide, or simply stroll with colonies of sea lions, turtles, iguanas, sharks, penguins, and a myriad of other species of flora and the endemic fauna of the Galapagos. SUGGESTIONS OF VISITS ON ISABELA Isabela is the wilder island and although some parts are forbidden to visit, it presents many options: 1) Relax on the long sandy beach of Puerto Villamil. 2) if you prefer to continue your discovery of the island, you can rent bikes or take a taxi to walk to the Wall of Tears, built by the convicts of that time, in a magnificent setting with the dry vegetation typical of this island. 3) you can also visit the turtle breeding centre, the pink flamingo lagoon or other small beaches with enchanting names such as the Amor beach. There are two major excursions from Isabela: 4) a boat trip to Cabo Rosa and the Lave Tunnels. This site is located 40 minutes by boat southwest of Puerto Villamil. You will see from the lava concretions many seabirds and the nesting places of the famous blue-footed boobies (1 meter away). By practicing snorkelling you can get very close, with a little luck, to multicoloured fishes, rays, sea turtles, sea lions, and even penguins. Swimming over a sea turtle that makes your size is a sublime experience that will make you gain in serenity. 5) a hike (5-6 hours walking at your own pace) through a world of recent geological history to the edge of the Sierra Negra volcano, which is still active and whose last eruption dates from October 2005. A nice hike and a fantastic view of its crater of almost 9 km. in diameter, making it the second largest caldera in the world. You will then continue to the Chico Volcano, which has spectacular fumaroles and lava fields of its last eruptions and you will see much of the western side of the island with the fantastic Elizabeth Bay in the distance, as well as the north with the Alcedo Volcano, the Darwin Volcano and Wolf.
