Kanha National Park is one of the oldest and largest national parks in India and is undergoing extensive conservation work. In terms of wildlife concentration, Kanhu has been compared to the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. It is a very beautiful landscape, especially at sunrise. You will take a jeep ride
early and you will have a good chance to see the tigers again. The park is also home to a significant number of Indian leopards, sloths, hyenas and wild dogs, as well as a large population of spotted or chilling deer, which are the main prey of big cats. Other species you can find are sambar, gaur, rhesus monkey, golden jackal, Bengal fox, otter, badger, mongoose, and barasingha or swamp deer, which were once nearly extinct. You will be returned to your hotel for breakfast.
During the day you can spend time by the pool, while in the evening a second shorter jeep safari awaits you.
