After breakfast, do a full-day guided city sightseeing of Delhi. We start our morning tour with New Delhi and first visit the famous India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to thousands of Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting in the battle during the World War-I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War. Spend some time taking photographs at the war memorial, followed by a drive past through the Houses of Parliament and Connaught Place. Iconic to Delhi, the two attractions offer an inviting view of the British colonial era architecture. Arrive at Old Delhi, here you will enjoy a rickshaw ride and explore the hubbub yet the charming side of the old part of Delhi city. Visit the 361-year-old Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India with a courtyard that can hold up to 25,000 devotees. The elegant looking mosque with onion shaped dome and minarets was commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who built the famous Taj Mahal. Moving ahead, you will drive past the UNESCO World Heritage site designated Red Fort - [Closed on Monday] that served as the imperial residence of the Mughal dynasty for around 200 years. Built of red sandstone, the construction of the fort took nine years to complete, which started in 1639. Enclosed with massive high walls, the fort is a wonderful structure to admire at. You will now proceed to Humayun’s Tomb, a magnificent garden tomb, and the first to mark the grave of a Mughal emperor. It was built in 1565 A.D. by Bega Begum - senior widow of emperor Humayun, nine years after his demise. The arched exterior facade is inlaid with bands of white and red sandstone, and Islamic geometrical style strictly dominates the building’s structure and design. Lastly, proceed to another World Heritage Site in Delhi to Qutub Minar – a brick minaret towering 72 meters into the sky, 15 meters diameter at the base and a mere 2.5 at the top. Built in 1192, Qutub Minar is the highest single tower in India, and perhaps the tallest minaret in the world. AGRA

After breakfast, we will see the white marble beauty Taj Mahal. A visit to Taj Mahal is one of the fascinating highlights of our Golden Triangle travel. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays) We will take Tonga Ride to reach Taj Mahal. The tour will move towards Agra Fort one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. We will also see Sikandara, the last resting place of the Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great, is on the Delhi-Agra Highway, only 13 kilometres from the Agra Fort. Akbar's Tomb reflects the completeness of his personality. The vast, beautifully carved, red-ochre sandstone tomb with deer’s, rabbits and langurs is set amidst a lush garden. Akbar himself planned his own tomb and selected a suitable site for it. To construct a tomb in one's lifetime was a Turkic custom which the Mughals followed religiously. Distance:- Agra to Jaipur (APPROX. 238 KM/ 5-6 HRS. DRIVE) After early breakfast, you will be driven to Jaipur followed by Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is the political capital of India's Mughal Empire under Akbar's reign from the year 1571 until 1586 when it was abandoned ostensibly due to the lack of water.
