Starting Point at Putussibau, meet and greet with our guide. Direct transfer to Lanjak and lunch en route. Proceed to Pelaik River Longhouse by speedboat, enjoy the Sentarum lake while the trip. Arrive and trekking to the Dayak Iban Longhouse through traditional bridge for about 15 minutes. Traditional ceremony will be held to welcome the visitors. Music, dances, local drinks and traditional cookies are prepared. Entering the longhouse and enjoy the meals. In the afternoon short trekking near by the longhouse. Take a rest and enjoy the atmosphere and prepare for adventure trip. Later tonight, gather for a dinner and a briefing by our team. Overnight at Pelaik River Longhouse. Read more
After breakfast, trekking for approx 6 hours in peak-swam forest. While trekking you may spot nests or individual of wild Orangutan. Enjoy the nature and simple lunch will be served en route. Stop over at the hut in Peninjau Hill, continue trek to the boat in the Kasin lake and boating down to a floating house in Merebung lake. Enjoy the afternoon in the lake with watching wild proboscis monkey, sunset and swimming. Enter the floating house to set up the simple accommodation. In the evening (optional) with local guide cruise the lake by local small wooden boat to hunt the snack head fish by using spears or just watch them in their nature habitat. Enjoy your morning at the floating house. Prepare your stuff and boating back to Meliau longhouse. Enjoy the longhouse and rest for the next trip. Get your boat in Meliau longhouse and continue your 2-3 hours boat in Sentarum lake to reach Tekenang Hill. Tekenang is a small island in the center of Sentarum Lake National Park, here you can stay at a simple lodge managed by national park. You could also enjoy the nature by walking around at wooden platform and hike up the Tekenang Hill to discover the Sentarum Lake from high point. Enjoy the landscape of the park. Morning observation walking around the lodge. Simple breakfast prepared and get ready to leave the lodge, one hour boat trip to reach Lanjak. Arrive at Lanjak village, direct transfer to Putussibau. Take a rest and overnight at Hotel.

We wanted to thank you for the great trip we had. Jumri, Firman and Mr. Udin made our trip more than worthwhile. They were very helpful in every kind of way. We had lots of fun. The forest where we went was so beautiful and the lodge also. After the trip to the destination, a meal was prepared by Mr. Udins wife who is a great cook! Even with our special diet, she surprised us with every meal! Of course seeing the orangutan in the wild is only to dream about but the whole stay made it so special. The lodge, the crew, the sounds, the animals, the super nice lunch we had on the way back and the interesting conversations we had. Every track we made was one to remember. We could do nothing than to recommend this trip to everyone interested in seeing the forest with all his animals and flora living there.
