Day 1 // Amman Airport - Petra Welcome to Jordan! Meet & Assist upon arrival at the gate of the flight, finish the formalities, luggage pick up and transfer to Petra Hotel for overnight.
Day 2 // Petra Tour - Petra After breakfast, we head to visit the Nabatean Red Rose city of Petra, one of the 7 world wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enter the city through 1KM long narrow gorge which is flanked either side by 80m high cliffs and start the impressive Petra tour! Notice the dazzling colors and formations of the rocks. The site is massive, and contains hundreds of elaborated rock-cut tombs, a treasury, Roman-style theatres, temples, sacrificial altars and colonnaded streets. DAY 3// Petra - Wadi Rum Jeep Tour 1.30 hour - Mount Nebo - Madaba After breakfast, we head further down in southern Jordan to visit other significant sites including Wadi Rum. Explore Wadi Rum on a 1.30 hour jeep ride into the Jordanian desert! Wadi Rum was best described by T.E. Lawrence as “Vast, echoing and god-like”, and by the locals as “Valley of the Moon”. Then continue to Mt. Nebo a city mentioned in the bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the promised land that he would never enter. Then visit Madaba, a city best known for the famous 6th century Mosaic map of Jerusalem & Holy Land and for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics and visit of St. Georges church. Day 4// Madaba - Bethany - Dead Sea Tour - Madaba After breakfast, go ahead to visit the baptismal site of Jesus Christ (Bethany beyond Jordan).John the Baptist (pbuh) prepared the way for the arrival of the Messiah, and John's ministry itself marked the beginning of the preaching of "the gospel of the Kingdom of God" (Luke 16:16). Some of the pivotal events in John's life and his heralding of the coming of Jesus took place in Jordan. Though Jesus Christ's divinely inspired role was announced before and during His birth, He launched His public ministry at Bethany beyond the Jordan at age 30, immediately after He was baptized by John and anointed by God (Luke 3:21-23, Acts 1:21-22). Then proceed to a Dead Sea tour, the lowest point on earth deep in the Jordan Valley and 55 km southeast of Amman, is the Dead Sea, one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the whole world. It is the lowest body of water on earth, the lowest point on earth, and the world's richest source of natural salts, hiding wonderful treasures that accumulated throughout thousands of years. DAY 5 // Madaba - Jerash - Umm Qais - Madaba After Breakfast and fresh impressions of the Dead Sea tour, we head to visit the ancient Roman city of Jerash, including the paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls. Then continue to Um Qais, previously known as Gadara, a city renowned as the site of the famous miracle of the Gadarene swine, a cultural center in its time and the home to several classical poets and philosophers Promenade through Um Qais and see its colonnaded street, vaulted terrace and the ruins of two theatres. Finish the tour and go ahead to your hotel in Madaba. (Breakfast) Read more
