Highlight of Central Bali

After breakfast and check out your guide will pick you up at the hotel. Today you will enjoy a day exploring the highlights of central Bali. Our journey begins in the heart of Ubud at Pura Taman Saraswati, a beautiful water temple featuring classic Balinese architecture and an impressive foyer featuring ponds filled with blooming pink lotuses. Dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, literature and art, the temple is well-hidden in Ubud center and the perfect starting point for our day. We continue on to Gunung Kawi, one of Bali’s most unique archaeological sites. Gunung Kawi Temple is two rows of ancient royal tombs on the banks of the Pakerisan River overlooked by terraced rice fields. The holy Pakerisan River flows through the center of Gunung Kawi cutting the site into two separate sections with a bridge to connect one side to the other. It is believed the holy waters of the Pakerisan sanctify Gunung Kawi and the beauty of the place evokes a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, we travel to Kintamani to enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur. With ribbons of black lava running down from its peak to the valley below, Batur’s crater is holy and a sanctuary at the top is dedicated to a fertility goddess. The route back to your next hotel takes you to our last stop, one of Bali’s holy springs called Toya Devasya. An infinity hot spring pool sitting on the edge of Lake Batur, you’ll put on your bathers and enjoy the spiritual waters that offer an unmatched, majestic panorama of Mount Batur. This is the ultimate relaxing way to end the day. The rest of the day you will be transferred at your Hotel in Canggu/ Seminyak area. Read more

My guide Kana was really good and very knowledgeable, he made my trip memorable. The highlight for me was the rice fields, Mengwi temple and Tanah Lot, the monkey forest was small and unimpressive but the monkeys were cute. Overall a great day with some spectacular sights.

MS. ELYCE M., United States

Our guide was out of this world fantastic. We went on a sunday, which we didn't realize wasn't the best day for the guides as there are religious obligations in the morning. That said, we were the only ones on the tour and i don't know if our guide took us at all off the beaten path, but we thought he may have taken us to some extra spots. It was an absolute blast. First stop was a local thread factory, where you have time to shop although this will be the priciest shopping probably in all of Bali, then a jewelry village also very expensive but you can negotiate to an extent. After that it was a bit of a longer drive to Mengwi Temple, which is just gorgeous. Then a local rice farm/coffee shop before Tanah Lot. if you don't want to get stuck in hours of traffic, ask your guide to time it right where you see the sun beginning to set at Tanah lot but don't stay for the whole duration as it is insanely crowded. I definitely recommend this day! The scenery even during the drive was amazing. It was a fun-filled day completely full of culture. Highly recommend! Read more
