Nabucco Island Resort located in the private island in the protected lagoon of Maratua Atoll, approx 60 km east of the Indonesian state East-Kalimantan in the middle of the Celebes Sea. Its about 2 hectares big island was built in 2001 with great view of its lush island vegetation and the buildings are carefully integrated into the nature.
Depart from Balikpapan fly to Kalimarau Airport, Berau. Meet and great with Nabucco Island Resort staff, transferring from Airport to Hotel for resting in Lobby until transfer time to island at 15.00 pm. There are wifi, air condition and toilet. Continue on board the speedboat to island

I just wanted to say thank you for the great tour that you organized recently for my 4 friends from Australia to see the orangutans in Kalimantan. They had a fantastic time. Their guide, boat crew, and boat were all excellent. I’m looking forward to being able to do the trip myself in the future.
We wanted to thank you for the great trip we had. Jumri, Firman and Mr. Udin made our trip more than worthwhile. They were very helpful in every kind of way. We had lots of fun. The forest where we went was so beautiful and the lodge also. After the trip to the destination, a meal was prepared by Mr. Udins wife who is a great cook! Even with our special diet, she surprised us with every meal! Of course seeing the orangutan in the wild is only to dream about but the whole stay made it so special. The lodge, the crew, the sounds, the animals, the super nice lunch we had on the way back and the interesting conversations we had. Every track we made was one to remember. We could do nothing than to recommend this trip to everyone interested in seeing the forest with all his animals and flora living there.
